Jan jagriti Sewa Samiti is a registered Non Government Organization (NGO) in India. It is registered under Societies Registration Act of 1860 by the Registrar of Societies.Registration number 361/1996-97. Samiti is also registered under sections 12A and 80 G of Income Tax Act of India to provide tax benifits to it respected donars. JJSS is also registered under Foreign Contribution Act. Registration no is 347970013. This way we are able to accept foreign funding for the welfare of the Indian soceity.

JJSS started its operations in year of 1996. Organization is dedicated to Social welfare. JJSS works in the fields of Health, Education, Environment, Women Employment Training, Women Development, Prevention from Domestic Violence, Processing of Hygienic Drinking Water, Senior Citizen Home, Children Welfare, Youth Employment and much more for the sake of upgradation of poor and helpless part of the society. Organization's main aim is to help needy poor people and work for her/ his Welfare.

Mrs. Seema Singh is the Secretary of Jan Jagriti Sewa Samiti. She guides and executes all the programmes of the JJSS. In addition there are seven members in main governing body. Organization has well educated, honest and hard working staff. Vision of JJSS is full development of backward and downtrodden people of every class, race, community in every field acorss the country. Organization's working area are in District Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital and Haridwar (Uttarakhand). We also wish to work in other parts of India as well. Organizational strategies of JJSS are Meetings, Group work, Training, Networking etc.

Organizational Programmes Education, Women Empowerment, Livelihood Activities, Women Violence case work, land and Forest rights, Environmental safety, Make entrepreneur , etc are the . Equality, rights, participation, Co-operation, faith, respect quality, Communities, democratic decisions, freedom of expression, opportunity etc are the values and principles of Organization.
